A video game review on Farcry 3, by MathiRaj
Here we go again with another video game review after seeing the response for the previous review (for which I am really grateful for). One of the most adventurous video game series is the Farcry series, and this post is a review on the 2012 release of that series, Farcry 3. Developed by Ubisoft and Dunia engine, this first person shooter is one of the most loved Farcry games till date, considering the beautiful island location that is iconic for the Farcry series, the game-play, the plot-line and Vaas's definition of insanity, to which we will get to soon. The game was initially released on 29th November 2012 and is currently available to be played on Playstation 4, Playstation 3, Xbox one, Xbox 360 and Microsoft windows. The game's graphics was reasonable in the initial release, however it was very much improved in the 'classic edition'. The game focused more on the first person combat aspect and exploration. The open world map was pretty decently sized. The side quests, outpost liberation missions, the story missions, all were satisfactory, however most gamers did not appreciate the radio tower . We get to play as Jason Brody, who has visited Rook island with his brothers, friends and girlfriend to celebrate his younger brother who got his pilot's license. Just like throwing stones at a bee hive, Jason and his folks sky dive into Vaas's camp which was crawling with his pirates. Vaas Montenegro is a slave trader who works under Hoyt Volker. The rest of the plot goes about how we escape from Vaas's camp, meet and get help from the local rebels called the Rakyat, save our friends and takedown Vaas and Hoyt. Towards the end of the game, we get to choose two different endings. One of which is a logical ending while the other is... is a crazy ending. I played this game twice, and never chose the crazy ending. Just letting you know that the crazy ending is insultingly insulting and it'll probably get people to judge you. But still! your game, your decision, have fun guys! Play the game and comment down below how many outposts you have liberated, I liberated all 34 of em!
