Have you ever wondered what it's like to be in an acclaimed position? A position that holds power, authority, and status.
I’m assuming you’ve all held on your thoughts of becoming filthy rich with impeccable records of a clean slate. If not, then the most probable chances are that you’re a baby who unintentionally opened this tab or a liar who cannot admit the fact that he did dream or you’re just a genuine guy who abides by optimistic thoughts and is satisfied with what he has. But anyway.. this is to all the people who wished had a better status, popularity, and respect. Let’s just get over with the introduction and scroll, shall we?
Now, your dream of becoming highly influential can be anybody. It can be an actor, a businessman, musician, politician, entrepreneur, philanthropist, etc. If you're still holding onto it with no second thoughts, then your ruling out certain facts that will startle you. It also proves your research incomplete as you’ve only visited the bright side. Just like It’s hard to explore all the classifieds of a newspaper, I’m not going to expand from all these perspectives.
There is always a part we overlooked. We never realized that becoming one of them comes with loads of responsibilities. It transforms your whole self and ties you under certain rules to follow, changes you never wanted, precautions to prevent letting yourself out from your nutshell and most importantly the fear of being sabotaged. Another fact which is mind-boggling… is that they never enjoy any of the luxuries they earned in the most peaceful manner. All that fur and velvet was just for one thing. Power with no satisfaction! There comes a point where all of them dwell for love and attention. You might contradict by stating that they have all the love from the world, fans to praise, always noticed and followed. Those are nothing but the burden they prepared to bear which led to the loss of true and pure love.
We raise voices only when something haphazard occurs. We hardly appreciate them for all the things they’ve done but we take no time in dumping them for being wrong and turn down their lives to hell. When a commoner does it, “it’s a mistake” but when someone of higher importance does the same, “it’s purposely intended”. We derelict the fact that we’re only human and a human is meant to be imperfect.
I hereby request all of us to think carefully of what we speak about them or be it anything that can cause other’s misfortune. Appreciate them when they deserve it. Correct them when they make mistakes rather than blowing it up or ignoring it. Facts are looked over truth. Media reports facts, but it’s in your hands to either believe and explode or ignore and respect for the sake of humanity. Laughing isn’t disrespectful unless it’s crossed a certain demarcation. The same applies to trolls commonly called memes. Once it’s crossed, it doesn’t stay a meme but a pictogram to tarnish them to the very end. I hope to see this world reconcile with each other. We all belong to one small world. Rich or poor, black or white doesn’t change the fact that we are all the same and belong to the same community. “If we just talk about the fact that we are different and acknowledge why we are different, instead of pretending that nobody is different though secretly thinking that we are different, we all might finally be on the same page and be less…. Different!”
To prevent myself from being accused of plagiarising the quote, I am not the prodigy who said that but was just a simple yet talented comedian named Vir Das.
Pheww! That was the longest I ever typed and I hope it’s been worth it. I rest my case. Ciao Adios!!
Ooo.... I almost forgot my question to y'all who just scrolled on the journey of a public figure. What do you think the life of a public figure is? A spell or a curse?!
Amazing article, well written. Life throws several obstacles and I think it is ultimately up to the individual that is whether he or she perceives it to be a spell or a burden. This is my opinion.
Really well written. Never thought of it from that perspective. I just loved the article!!
I have always always wondered about this. Thank you for putting out girl Keep up the amazing work going!
I really think your long post deserves a long applause:)...Loved that Vir Das quote too.
