A video game review on Watchdogs, by MathiRaj

Ubisoft has been one of the outstanding video game creators of all time. This 2014 release by them joins one of their outstanding works. Watchdogs is the first game released on the series of Watchdogs. This third person action-adventure game has ventured into a topic of game which not many games have ventured into before, hacking. Yes, the game provides you the ultimate power of hacking. I was literally feeling like a God when I played this game, like, you can hack CCTVs, know about almost anyone's personal life, hack their bank accounts, hack gas pipelines, hack traffic signals, hack helicopters, hack radio communication between enemies, hack bridges, hack, hack, hack, you name it. The game play was outstanding, even the side missions and games were amazing. This game being released closely with the release of GTA 5, I felt a few similarities in features between these two games, like Aiden Pearce (Main playable character of Watchdogs) had the same power of focused driving just like Franklin Clinton. (One of the main playable characters of GTA 5) Also, the character movements were in resemblance to that of Assassins creed, like the crouch movements and stealth movements, all of that. I can't complain that because both the games were created by Ubisoft. The downside which I felt however was about the vehicle physics, mostly on the cars. They were sliding off the roads like crazy, I wouldn't have complained about it if there was Tokyo drift BGM. But I have to take a moment to appreciate the logic behind how the cops close in on you when you have a wanted level, that was laid out well. The game takes place in Chicago, where we get to play as Aiden Pearce, a grade one computer hacker along with a fellow hacker plans to zero out the bank accounts of all the wealthy customers of a hotel lobby called 'Merlaut'. Fearing to be found, Aiden aborts the mission mid way and flees the place, but his team mate who was helping him from outside did not like Aiden's decision. Few days later, someone orders a hit on Aiden, when he was on a fun trip with his nephew and niece. A bunch of hired guns, shoot down Aiden's car, causing it to crash. In that accident, Aiden's poor six year old niece dies. Hence Aiden sets out to get answers for her death. If you are still wondering if the game has shooting and stuff. You got it friend, pistols, revolvers, automatic guns, rifles, batons, grenades, mines, all those OG goodies are still operable in this open world game.
