This is a message to all the people who achieved the dream of becoming an engineer, be it software or anything and had high hopes to do something far-fetched but landed working for companies, not because they wanted to, but were forced to do so for survival. This is also a message to the people who loved to hold the pen, who wanted ears to listen, eyes to read and hearts to applaud. A message to all the anonymous writers hiding in careers they never expected to land into.
"Do you ever realize something
that we all work for nothing
coz all that sweat that fills the well
is just to sit and type your hell
Do you ever work for yourself?
but when you do, reality doesn't help
coz all that ink flown to tips swell
is just to fill the empty well
and nothing else
just for everyone else
so, don't calm yourself
and be a Rebel"
My next note (because I said 'message' earlier) is specifically to all the employees who literally serve people. No, you guessed wrong. They aren't civil servants but they are something more ranked on the downside. I submit to you that they are the people with the highest level of tolerance, stress and patience. They are none other than the workers of delivery services and employers of call centers. Some are privileged with education who dedicate their lives teaching their students while most aren't aware of their behind the scenes, Here's my note to you!
"Do people come to order you
and take you in as their tool?
coz all that stuff you missed at school
is just leading you to be a fool
Do people shut calls on your face
just because it wasn't of their taste
coz all that ignored void of entity
is just to make you loose self-dignity
and nothing else
just for everyone else
so, don't calm yourself
and be a Rebel"
And the last one is neither a message or a note. It is a kind request to all the non mentioned people of this article. I hope you have realized the pain they go through and the hardships they endure. They aren't doing any of it for themselves but for our own benefit. So, it would be nice if we could curl our tails and keep calm as they do the same when we rage against them for no good reason. I would be the happiest of all if you understood their life and agree with me to treat the way they should be.
Damn damn, You've opened new dimensions of thought ,
Watch 'Naan thaan Komali' by Black sheep on Youtube. They do a pretty good job of portraying similar messages.
When you wrote about service oriented jobs, I was reminded of mine- teaching. It's another patience demanding thankless job. But it gives immense satisfaction if you do it with passion and make you feel a bit like God on the seventh day of creation! God bless 😇❣️
one word. wow.
It is very interesting to read nicely written articles about things that we seldom realize or speak about. Good job Nithiyashree.
The last para really touched a chord with me. Hope we empathise with them if nothing else .
