A movie review on Psycho, by MathiRaj
I don't know about you guys, but psycho thrillers have always been my favourite genre of movies. One such genre film is the 2020 release Psycho. This film, directed by Mysskin starred Udhayanidhi Stalin, Aditi Rao Hydari, Nithya Menon and Rajkumar Pitchumani in major roles. This film is considered as a tribute to famous Hollywood director Alfred Hitchcock. The film overall was very quiet and gave me the chills. There was only three songs and yet they were outstanding, directed by music director Illayaraja. The settings were well selected and were apt for the well built plotline. With all due respect, in my opinion, the explicit gore and foul language could have been avoided, which if done could have given the movie an 'U' certificate. The plot deals with a psychopathic serial killer (Rajkumar Pitchumani) on the loose, who targets girls and sometimes prostitutes, kidnaps them and chops off their heads and collect them as souvenirs, then leaves the headless corpse of his victims in public places. With this happening, Gautham (Udhayanidhi Stalin) a man impaired from vision, has an one-side love on a radio jockey, Dagini. (Aditi Rao Hydari) One day, when Gautham was on his way to confess his love to Dhagini, it happens so that Dhagini had been abducted. It is Gautham's grudge that she had been kidnapped by the psycho. Will Gautham save Dhagini? or will Dhagini end up as a headless corpse? Check out by watching the movie, Psycho.
Psycho as you said was spine chilling and a treat for fans of thriller movies!
